Deski – assistant app of Arigamix

A cross-platform assistant application, Deski, expands the capabilities of the Arigamix web-client, providing better integration with the operating system (Windows, Linux, or macOS) and installed applications when you work using desktop or laptop: if a file in a card is available for editing, Deski automatically downloads and opens it in the application installed on the user’s computer and associated with the file extension (for example, Word or LibreOffice Writer will open .docx). 

Deski also supports Excel, JPG and PDF formats and enables working with files in these formats without having to download them for editing. After you edit the file, you just save it and save the card where it is stored to see all the changes. For example, you can easily add e-signature image into PDF files. 

Deski immediately uploads the edited file to the server, thereby freeing the user from unnecessary actions with it, like downloading, saving changes and having to upload again.

The file content is cached on the local computer in encrypted form and does not require downloading from the server when accessed again, which significantly reduces the amount of traffic when working with files.

When Deski is installed, users see additional options to work with files like:
Open for edit
Open for edit in folder
Open for reading
Copy to clipboard
Merging (for comparison of two similar .docx files)
Versioning (keeps all the edits as a separate version of a file with added date and time of changing)
Templates for automatic filling with metadata taken from the Arigamix cards (ex. Client card) can be created for Word and Excel files.   

Arigamix in general makes possible to run business fully from one single point of entry, with modules like email client, chats/discussions feature, creating templates for variety of documents for automatic filling from card (like Client card) metadata, editing files inside the Arigamix, storing and issuing outgoing and incoming invoices, reports, making online calls with chat apps (coming soon), audit trail, business processes like approvals and e-signing and even creating pre-determined workflow processes. The Administrative part has automations like copying access levels from Active Directory. Clients/Partners databases can be imported simply with an excel file.
